Which sole suits your court?
Decathlon recommends clay or herringbone soles, with their zigzag tread, for artificial grass with plenty of sand. It describes these as providing the highest grip among the sole types it compares, but warns that they can grip too much on low-sand or ‘mondo’ carpet.
Decathlon describes omni soles as having a multi-stud pattern for low-sand or ‘mondo’ surfaces. It warns that they do not provide enough grip on very sandy courts. Its hybrid category combines herringbone outside with omni inside.
Grip is separate from lateral support, the support needed for side-to-side movement. Decathlon says rigid plates can improve foot support and stability. The padel shoes overview explains the wider comparison beyond adidas.
How should padel shoes fit?
HEAD advises trying shoes on and checking the last, the shape around which a shoe is made, for a wide or narrow fit. That is general guidance, not a sizing claim for Crazyquick or Courtquick. HEAD also recommends appropriate sport socks for breathable comfort.
Decathlon says running trainers prioritise forward movement and lack the lateral support needed for padel. It says tennis shoes tend to emphasise heel stability, while padel shoes focus on midsole stability for stops and pivots.
On 15 October 2026, Tennis-Point’s adidas listings comprised 4 men’s, 3 women’s and 1 kids’ listing. The men’s padel shoes and women’s padel shoes pages separate those shop categories; they do not establish the width of an individual model.
