HEAD’s guide says carbon fibre adds stiffness during impact, gives extra control and tends to be more durable. It describes fibreglass as more flexible and softer, delivering more power. Playtomic also describes fibreglass as flexible and comfortable, and suitable for beginner and intermediate players.
On 15 October 2026, the catalogue’s adult rackets with complete shape, weight and balance fields included 118 carbon-faced models, 52 fibreglass models and 31 with mixed carbon and fibreglass faces. These counts cover that complete-specification subset, not every catalogue model. The racket finder compares those specifications alongside the face material.
What does the carbon K number mean?
K means thousands of filaments per carbon strand: 3K means 3,000. It describes the carbon strand, rather than the whole racket’s feel. Brands pair these faces with different cores, so the number is not a shared soft-to-hard scale.
Across the catalogue on 15 October 2026, shop fields named the following K values. These are catalogue counts, not the number displayed in each group below.
- 3K appears on 48 rackets; 6K appears on 2.
- 12K appears on 45 rackets.
- 15K appears on 6 rackets; 16K appears on 8.
- 18K appears on 23 rackets; 24K appears on 9.
How does the core change carbon feel?
EVA is a rubber-like foam; Stock Padel says it comes in soft, medium and hard densities. The same guide describes cores sold as foam, also called polyethylene, as softer and spongier, with easier ball exit. Playtomic associates harder, denser cores with a firmer feel, so a carbon face alone does not establish hardness.

- Siux Zyron 3K Blue 2026: teardrop, a shape between round and diamond; 365 g, 3K carbon and EVA Medium, rated medium by Tennis-Point.

Is 18K carbon harder than 3K carbon?

Is a carbon padel racket suitable for beginners?

How are the carbon racket groups ordered?
The list uses carbon-faced adult rackets with complete makeup fields and a price, grouped by the shop’s K label. Within each group, rackets are ordered cheapest first, not by a performance judgement.
Does a foam core always mean soft?
Stock Padel generally describes foam as softer and spongier. However, Tennis-Point rates the Wilson Defy V1’s Power Foam core hard, so the model-specific rating matters.
