What the Coello models share
All adult Coello versions listed have a head-heavy balance and a Power Foam core that shops rate hard. Faces are described as carbon, fibreglass or a carbon/fibreglass hybrid on the shop pages.
HEAD says a high balance concentrates weight towards the head and increases power, which matches the Coello adults' balance readings. The series in the catalogue on 15 October 2026 contains four adult diamond shapes and one junior teardrop.
- Core: Power Foam on every version, shop-rated hard (Tennis-Point).
- Adult shape: diamond; junior shape: teardrop. See HEAD on shapes diamond and teardrop.
- Balance: adult models sit in the upper third for balance, linked by HEAD to more power.
- Faces vary: fibreglass, 2D carbon or carbon/fibreglass hybrid as listed by the shop.
How each version differs
Shops list five Coello versions with shape, weight and balance. Shops also show the model year in the product name for most Coello entries (most labelled 2026).
The numeric specs below are taken from Tennis-Point product pages read on 15 October 2026.
- HEAD Coello 2026 Junior — teardrop; 310 g; balance 265 mm; fibreglass face; Power Foam core; shop level: Beginners; game type: Control.
- HEAD Coello Motion 2026 — diamond; 360 g; balance 268 mm (upper third); hybrid face (carbon/fibreglass); Power Foam core; shop level: Advanced; game type: Power.

Which Coello suits which player
Match the shop level and game type to your experience. Tennis-Point lists the junior Coello for Beginners and Control; the adult Motion, Team and the two Pro models are rated Advanced or Tournament and are classified as Power.
HEAD’s advice on shapes clarifies the ratings: diamond shapes increase power and reduce the sweetspot, so shops list those for more experienced, attacking players. Use the racket finder, read about balance at weight and balance, or compare versions on the compare page.
- Beginners needing forgiveness and control: HEAD Coello 2026 Junior (shop level: Beginners).
- Advanced players seeking power with some manoeuvrability: Coello Motion 2026 or Coello Team 2026 (shops label them Advanced).
- Tournament players wanting maximum head weight and stability: Coello Pro 2026 or the Coello Pro (shops label them Tournament).
Questions
How do I tell the model year of a HEAD Coello racket?
Shops include the model year in the product name when they list it — for example 'HEAD Coello Pro 2026'. On 15 October 2026 most Coello listings showed 2026 in the name; one listing carried no year.
Are Coello rackets head-heavy?
Yes. The adult Coello models in the catalogue sit in the upper third for balance (268–272 mm), which HEAD describes as head-weighted and linked to greater power.
What are the faces and core made of?
Coello faces are fibreglass, 2D carbon or a carbon/fibreglass hybrid depending on the version, and every listed Coello uses a Power Foam core. Shops rate those cores as hard (Tennis-Point).
Which Coello suits beginners?
Tennis-Point lists the HEAD Coello 2026 Junior as the Beginners model with a teardrop shape and a control game type. HEAD recommends teardrop or round shapes for players seeking more balance or control.
